AimBot

There's a lot of fact or fiction myth around counter-strike and what cheats actually exist for it. Some people go running around the map, clueless and careless about if anyone was even thinking of cheating. Other CS gamers whine and complain their entire time on any server about headshots and scripts.

So what is Fact, and what is Fiction? I'll tackle some of the stuff that hits me right off the top.

Headshots! He's using a script!

This is a little different than most believe. There are/were scripts that make the mouse not move so much when activated, that's no big deal and hardly considered a cheat, when you compare it next to the AimBot. The AimBot actually tracks targets and allows for headshots. It's not a myth, it's for real. I'm not sure exactly how long it's been in existence, but I know it's up and running for Beta7, I've used it.

Want to see some in-game shots of this puppy? You'll notice the little box, it's the "Tracking Lock". It displays that you're locked on that target. You can loose that lock, but for that instance, it's there.

How does it work? You configure and launch an executable before you enter a game. You define what color you want the program to lock on and it will. So you just edit the existing CS models with any color you want as your defined colors and you're done. What I did was just color the heads of the enemies so I wouldn't be bothered wasting ammo on their bodies.

In-Game Shots:

My Model Shots: Arab, Arctic, Guerilla, Terror

Pros:

Cons:
 - Very easy in close combat to hit only your enemy's head

 - Definitely gives you an advantage to sniping with AWP if using Full Body Colored Models

 - the cheat does its job, perhaps that's an understatement

 - You must find a good color not used in many maps, otherwise you'll be locking on to ambient light (like the red glowing lights in cs_747

 - If configured properly, you have to stay on one side or the other, throughout all the maps, or else you'll be locking on your team mates

 - I feel it gives me an over-confident "I can kill everyone" complex, but I'm not invulnerable, just a damn good aim

 - lighting must be right for the tracking lock to grab a target

 - takes a pretty good system to run and often times you must use D3D instead of OpenGL

The Bottom Line:
This cheat is going to be so dangerous when coupled with lambert. Right now it's got a few cons to it which lead me to believe it isn't as dangerous as some may believe, but on the other hand, I am usually not very good in close quarters, but with this cheat, I am very good. The weapon(s) of choice would have little recoil, yet great damage potential to the head, or a really fast rate of fire. If you suspect someone of using this, try a dark area or a weirdly lit area and see if they're as accurate. I suspect that those that don't need to use this cheat will, just to feel ahead of the game (it won't help them that much right now).
